I’ve been looking over the threads and can’t decide on a sling bag. I need something for urban use, commuting on buses and trains. I’m used to driving a pickup truck. The truck bed and toolbox were my EDC. I basically carried nothing on me but a wallet, a knife, a .45 and a double magazine carrier.
Now I’m switching modes to urban living and I have no clue. I’ll be wearing a suit for the new job and want something so I can carry whatever I might need during the day. I want a sling so I can keep my hands free and not have to take it off when I get on a train or a bus. I guess I’ll occasionally use it for hoofing it around the city but probably most days I’ll be walking less than a half hour total. I would like something that rides well and doesn’t bounce but I realize a sling is a compromise and not ideal for long walks.
It doesn’t have to be large but quality is a priority. I can’t stand junk or stuff that falls apart and I don’t like having to buy the same thing more than once. Been reading some less than positive comments about one nameless manufacturer that used to put out good stuff.
It should also be from a place that has worldwide shipping. What are the options in well made bags that wouldn’t be awkward with a suit? Thanks guys.
