I am looking for useful Android apps that I can use offline on my smartphone. These apps should not use cookies, since I don’t want companies to spy on my personal data.

These apps could be on the subject of first aid, medical problems, survival, edible plants, emergencies, road maps, etc. Or they could offer a compass, FM-radio, virus scanner, Android file manager, etc.

    Is your phone rooted?

I like the file explorer root browser from Jrummy apps. The only permission it has asked for is storage access.

It does have an add service, but I also use Adaway from XDA which blocks all sorts of non-sense. If you add the extra file hosts lists it blocks all the fb tracking :censored: too

If I want to root my phone, I must make a backup of it on my laptop first, I guess.

Permission to ‘access mij storage’ might mean, that the app company can copy and spy on all my personal data?

Maybe it is safer to store information on my phone in the form of PDF-files, than as apps? PDFs kan be found via a search engine. For example I can search for: “bug out bag” pdf.

It has no permission to access internet/wifi/data currently.

There are other apps that ‘require’ that. I avoid those.
