    Yes, this will be a very controversial thread…
    I hate them, because I see that they have more resistance while cutting (for example apples, cardboard etc.). A full hollow grind knife is maybe a bit better than a half or less hollowed knife, but also sucks for me. I prefer FFG or full convex knives (Victorinox knives, Opinels and some Spydercos).
    Yes, hollow grinds are more durable after a lots of sharpening, but get real folks, how many times will you sharpen your knives in your lifetime? A steeling and stropping will keep them sharp after a long time, so you don’t have to use sandpaper/rock/diamond sharpener to unnecessarily remove steel from the blade. Also they are a lot weaker and fragile…
    Also I’m blown away that lots of the most popular designers still use them (Chris Reeve, Vox etc.).
