I’ve heard the American Rimfire will shoot anything put in it because it’s a bolt action rifle and wonder if the ammo may be bad in others firearms that have semi-automatic actions because they don’t cycle well or something along those lines (maybe the load is weak in the cartridge). I’ve also heard of some cheaper bulk ammo leaving lot of junk in the barrel. Thoughts please? Thanks!
It is a very dirty round, but .22LR is dirty in general for some reason. I shot nothing but CCI mini mags one trip through my 22/45, and then turned around and shot WWB 9MM through my XDm, and my M was cleaner than the 22/45. LOL. Be prepared to clean no matter what, but since you are buying for a bolt action, you arent throwing lead down range as fast, which means you can pay more attention to your loads.
I personally would still stay away though, but that is just me.
