Picking up a few FAK refill supplies yesterday and found a product called WoundSeal. For about five bucks you get four little packets of powder (similar to Crystal Light singles) in a plastic box that by itself seems useful. From the packaging and web site, this product is obviously intended for small wounds on people taking blood thinners and the like. Each packet is allegedly good for a two inch lasceration.
So I’m wondering if anyone out there has experience with this product and if it’s worth having in a FAK for the day to day cuts and scrapes that may leak a bit more than usual.
I’ve looked at getting some QuickClot but it seems awfully expensive and what do you do with an open package that you only used a quarter of?
