I’m not a super picky dude but I know what I want in a backpack and I’m very particular about it. So here it goes; I want a pack with good organization similar to the 511 rush 12, (but I want it made in America, not a sweat shop in Vietnam) thick, strong shoulder straps like a GR or MR. And #10 YKK zippers all around.
Shouldn’t be too hard right? Yeah…
The top companies like Kifaru, Goruck, TAD, and Mystery Ranch all seem to harness certain elements of these things, but none of them does it all simultaneously.
IMO, Goruck is the closest, but their organization isn’t what I’d like to see. Mystery Ranch is a second, but the organization is nonexistent. TAD just ruined themselves with their shortcuts to saving cash and Barbie accessory shoulder straps. And finally Kifaru has both no internal organization to offer and their shoulder straps are the flat style that I don’t like.
