I am planning on getting a monocular for my EDC bag. I’ve read some reviews of both the Brunton and Alpen monoculars, but i was wondering if anyone here had experiences with both, and a preference towards one or the other.
The Alpen seems to have better numbers, but that doesn’t say anything about quality of the optics etc.
Mostly I would be using them for hiking, nature watching, “Whats that over there?!?” type of thing. But it would be handy to have in my bag all the time, hence I’m looking for the compact form factor that both of these offer.
Any opinions, suggestions, alternatives are welcome.
