I’m using them mostly for listening to music on my GS4. Again, I’m not crazy about audio quality when I’m out listening to mp3’s or Google Music. I’m thinking about going back to a pair of MDR-ex100’s since they have the mic and android button.

I have a pair of MDR 7506’s for home use, but I don’t like carrying them around. All of my edc stuff fits into my pockets, so anything bigger than earbuds are too much. I fit the stock GS4 earbuds in an a mint (not altoids, but pretty much the same) tin. They sound like garbage, so those are what I need to move on from.

I’m currently using a pair of Soundmagic E30’s. Bought them for less that £35 and they have excellent sound quality. They also include a set of plastic hooks that the earphones feed through so you can clip them over your ears so they don’t fall out during strenuous activity.

The only issue I have with them is that they tend to fall out of my ears. This is more to do with the shape of my ears, and not the earphones, so I’m looking for replacements.

I have the Monoprice model, they are great. Search ”five best earbuds” and lifehacker.

Paradigm e1 without mic, or Paradigm e3m with mic.

The e3m may be slightly over your budget.

GREAT noise isolation. My brother rides a Harley (minus baffling in the exhaust) and can hear his music over the rumble.

Comes with three size tips, so should fit everybody. You can buy ear hooks for them for about $5, which will loop the cables over the top of your ear.

Made overseas, but Canadian design from a Canadian company.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on the Bell Mobility Network.
