I have been assembling a tropical survival kit over the last few months one of the items I have yet to obtain is a decent quality light weight stainless stell blade machete. I prefer a 12″-16″ blade (no more than 18″), better quality steel (no 420 – need 440X. ATS34, etc), and weight 14-16oz (no more than 18oz). I prefer the cost to be less than $300 and a decent synthetic material sheath. Would also consider a khukri. Can anyone make a suggestion?
