KeymasterDetailed-stripped my all-steel Baer 1911. Thoroughly cleaned EVERY component. Replaced every spring. Re-polished the feed ramp and the sear assembly. De-horned some spots. Replaced all the magazine springs. Installed the thin Aluma-grips.

I’m interested to see if you notice anything with the zev plunger. And the only ones I have seen are the titanium version….and have heard mixed reviews. Thanks for the comments! And good luck tomorrow!
Not much to report. Did not even notice it even forgot I installed it. That said, no issues either. Going to shoot it tonight and try and pay a bit more attention. It did not help my score either lol

lolDo you shoot a lot with that gun? I’d be curious to see how the plunger wears over time….I’ve seen some pretty nasty photos, but they were titanium.

KeymasterAdded Talon Grips to my LCP. First and really only upgrade I make to my pistols. Like to keep everything as factory as possible.

Prob around 140 rounds during the IDPA Sat. Then did an IDPA practice on Monday night and shot another 140 round maybe. I have not looked at it. But when I get a chance I will let you know.I shoot a fair amount with it as its my go to IDPA gun, occasionally I bring a 1911 (CDP). If I do find wear, I will chuck it and go back to a stock plunger (and polish it). If it is Steel, I think it will be just fine.
If this was true target gun I might go nuts with the upgrades, but so little return on investment for most types of shooting that I do.
Though I would love my G26 to be this one

KeymasterUnless I decide to build another project 1911, which I haven’t had the desire to do in years as I’d rather focus my time on actually shooting, I keep all my guns in stock form. I have yet to find any aftermarket accessory that makes me any better a shooter so I’d rather plug those funds into training and ammo. The only exception for me is replacing stock sights if they’re poorly done (Glock) or putting a light on a pistol.
