KeymasterI got one of these from Mrs Dusty at Christmas, infinitely useful when the kids are on their android tablets as it can power them both at once in the back seat of the car. Saves many many tears.
I bring it with me in my work bag, if i forget to charge the iPhone it’s great as it is very pocketable and i can carry both with me in my jacket while i’m working.

KeymasterHas anyone tried the 9000mAh External Power Pack from Monoprice? (http://goo.gl/oBjwA)
I have been looking at it for a while. The price seems to fluctuate (was 29.99 a month ago) and the only major downside that I can seem to find is that it uses a non-standard USB charging cable.

KeymasterI EDC a small backup for my iPhone. Doesn’t do USB, just the apple tip. I’ve never had to use it, but I’d hate to drive my van into a snow covered ditch and get trapped without juice in my phone.

KeymasterI should probably carry something like this in my bag, considering how quickly my phone looses its juice

Keymaster… and this is why I’m having fun here at EDC Forums. I was looking into portable power w/ solar backup. My immediate uses would be a headlamp and an Ipod. I just ordered a Goal Zero Guide 10+ w/ their Nomad 13 solar panel. That should do away w/ the constant battery use and give flexibility in the future.
The Nomad 13 should be able to put some sort of charge into an old Xantrex XPower Powerpack 300 Plus which has a small light, air compressor and an outlet for dirty 110 AC. All handy but most of the above won’t be EDC.

KeymasterYep. I carry a Duracell Powerhouse. It’s compact but it has a lot of juice for the size and weight.

KeymasterFor amateur power, it’s okay. Liking the size so far.

KeymasterI’m using the iGo PowerXtender with different tips for different phones – it’s powered by 2xEneloops. Since I’m all AA-based anyways, it also serves as a spare battery container for a variety of other electronic gadgets I might have… or vice versa and I can cannibalize from other devices to feed my phone, depending upon priorities.
Also have the GZ Guide 10+ for more capacity/options.

KeymasterI carry the largest energizer portable power I could find. Will recharge my Thunderbolt about 10 times OR I can use it continuously while running my phone as a GPS when hiking. Since its a power hog (my phone) it has been invaluable.
I take it when the wife and I go camping so I can keep our phones charged all weekend long and I had to use it once when I realized post-camp site arrival that I had forgotten to charge up my Kindle.
I’ll step out for a second and see if I can find a link to it. They make smaller versions of the one I have but I can never buy small. LoL

KeymasterI edc a USB cord, but no power pack of any kind. At work usually I can find a port to borrow for a bit.
In my OSK (oh $**t kit) or emergency bag, or bob, or whatever you call it on this forum, I have a Brunton solo I bought a couple years back. Good for one full charge on my phone.

KeymasterI’ve wanted one of those for a while, but I can’t ever find one that jumps out at me. I recently bought a Goal 0 Nomad 7 Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit and can’t wait for to get enough time off to test it.

KeymasterMy hunting bag always has enough juice carried to recharge my razrs battery three times if need be. Usually I can surf all day in stand and only need to plug it in the last hour or so.
Live from the stand…
