I assume you’re not including the trauma Bergen with the defib and oxygen the PPO’s always have with them? That allows the carriage of a very minimal ifak.

Given we’re not CP operators, that’d be a “no” ๐ Besides, ambulances (full size ambulances, paramedic responder cars, and ambulance paramedic bikers) carry that kit ๐admin
KeymasterI’m using a totally rocking, state of the art, super high tech, Motorola Q. It’s wicked! Colour screen, cute little keyboard, it’s totally epic!
I’ve been using a really old, 2001 circa Samsung (don’t have it here, can’t recall the actual model) that was lame, but it more or less did what I needed it to. I could make and receive calls. But texting on it was really abysmal A friend had the Q in a drawer, never used. I just had to go down to the evil conglomerate I deal with to have it switched over to me. Light years better. One day I will not be poor, and I can afford something better. But I also like trying to resist getting led around by my nose by all the latest, greatest, faster, better stuff the makers and providers try to convince you you need. This works fine for me. I can make calls and texts, receive calls and texts, I can check emails, put stuff into a calendar. Meh, so I can’t download videos at blistering high speeds and play games on it. So what.

Just read the OP again, it seems odd to me. Handcuffs and “self defence spray”, in England? That seems a little odd.BTW, I was on the Royal Rota yesterday and the Queen’s PPO’s carry a very small FAK with a TQ, homeostatic dressing and a izzy….

KeymasterI love iPhone an have done forever but the iPhone 5 just doesn’t see the same animal. Don’t get me wrong, the phone is an upgrade from the 4 (negligible upgrade from 4s) but it has issues… For me at least.
My biggest annoyance is it feels crappy. I liked the heft of the previous models, this one feels like a toy.
I also worry about the quality of the thing, every so often the screen will show weird interference when the keyboard is up and after what two months of owning it and treating it ok (not babying it exactly but not abusing it at all) the external speaker has gone very tinny at the top end of the volume slider. Also the “chamfered edges” apple bangs on about are the easiest things to scratch.

KeymasterAt this point I am getting very confident making duct tape bags and such. Seams trivial to make one for this, the issue is the time spent. If you have an hour should be rather simple with good directions.

Keymasteris iPhone 5 lousy in any way?

I am a TCCC instructor and I implore you to ONLY use a CoTCCC approved TQ. This would be the SOF-T or the CAT. The rats has been proved to not be not nearly as effective as either of the aforementioned TQs.Without rehashing a lot of what has been said the tourniquet you have with you is a thousand times better than the one you left in your kit. Most civilians are not going to carry around a CAT or SOF-T because it is not convenient. The CAT and the SOF-T are the โbestโ because they have been proven in combat. The RATS and SWAT-T are gathering more and more data daily because they are being carried.

KeymasterNokia 6310i
Got it in 2001, keep coming back to it time and again. For travelling I use a Nokia 2730 classic because it’s quad-band and 3G and looks quite cheap (lees likely to get robbed, I hope).

I donโt see any pictures of the back of the BFG, but it says one version uses โhook and loopโ fastener. If the back panel is hook and loop then you might be able to add the Titan Tactical tourniquet holder with it. Unfortunately that would be added cost and I donโt know about UK shipping.http://www.titantacticalinnovations.com/products.html

Shipping to the UK from the US tends to be a tad on the costly side; then there are usually UK Import duties to be paid, and then, in a typical case of “rip-off Britain”, if the goods have been sent using USPS, rather than a private courier company (such as FedEx) the Royal Mail charges us a further ยฃ8 for the privilege of them handling the customs charges for us, the sods ๐กThis said, a couple of heavy-duty elastic bands would likely do the job, anyhow. In any event, we’re still looking at pouches for this kit. More when we have it ๐

I had a hunch that might be the case, somehow. Thanks for the confirmation. Is there any reason the SWAT-T isn’t on the list?admin
