Sent this light to Vinh over at that flashlight forum. He’s in the process of modding the light with a drivervn, and some other customization. Will get back a 700 lumens light saber!

    Cool!
    I think?
I am much more into run time than output in general but……
I have carried an E15 for a long time and have a spare too but I just had to try this out whether I think I will use Turbo or not!

    Thanks

    You’re most welcome!

Here are some more shots. Not exactly the greatest shots I’ve ever taken; but they work, for comparative purposes. The 170-lumen E15 is on the left, in all the shots:
The OCD in me is telling me that I should have flipped the body around on the new E15, to show the model number, rather than the serial number, and the light on the left should have had the model number better facing the camera lense :|. Oh well…

The body diameter seems to be identical, albeit with the light, now being a bit longer. The head on the newer E15 is very slightly wider, but the output is wonderful, for its size. Don’t let the crappy pictures fool you.

The new light still fits on the elastic side pocket of my Olight holster, alongside my Solarforce L2P/triple Nichia 219 combo. I’ll carry this now, instead of one of the Thrunite T10s I was carrying (one neutral, one cool).

Fenix have incorporated a battery warning feature (The light flashes three times, every five minutes, when the battery is about to be depleted). Nice!
Awful beam shots; but then, white walls are torture on beam shots lol, and the real live view of this light is a lot more impressive than this terrible shot.

Believe it! When my new E15 arrived it and I dialed up what I thought was the highest mode, I was very disappointed; but that’s because I only dialed it up to High, rather than Turbo (I forgot there was a fourth mode lol), which was only 110 lumens – not as bright as my 170 lumen E15. Then, I dialed up the next mode, and was floored, for a light of this size.

Newest E15 is on the left.

Just remember to use a good 16340 battery, to get the highest (450 lumen) output.

    You’ll love it 😀

I just picked up a Klarus XT1C. I’ve been eyeing it for a while so I decided to take advantage of cyber Monday to pick up a new edc light.
