I carry a nekkid BlackBerry Z10 in a Maxpedition 5″ holster… works well for me.

Some pants don’t have large enough front pockets to carry it this way comfortably so I’ll carry it in my back. I’d switch to a smaller phone but I can’t give up the battery life on this phone.
Used to like the Otterbox and used the belt clip but the case is so bulky and the darn belt clip is so flimsy. Now I use a silicone cover that is light and a Saddleback Leather belt pouch.

Samsung Galaxy S2 in a otterbox defender…I snapped off the clip from the another otterbox defender and had a hard time carrying the phone until I got a replacement.
Nexus 4 in the factory bumper with a cheapo clear cover on the screen. I just keep it away from my keys to be safe.
I carry an Iphone 4s in a lifeproof case. I use the holster on my belt, or I turn it backwards and slip it into my pocket with the belt clip on the outside.

My work just got me a huge smartphone. A Galaxy. Rather than carry it in a HUGE belt clip I decided to leave it in my pocket. My last work phone’s clip broke so it was relegated to the shirt pocket too. Now I’m used to it.
