Opinel Knives (Pics Welcome)

Today I visited my not so local (hour drive cause I got bored) knife and gear shop. If anyone lives in Maryland or D.C. or even northern Virginia, you need to check out Edgeworks knife and supply shop in Fredrick Maryland. They have everything from Kris Reeve to Spyderco to any knife brand even custom. Anyway I went there today and got myself a dump pouch for my Maxpedition Lunada and on impulse buy, a Opinel No° 6. Let me just say I LOVE it. I made this thread to see what other people think about Opinel and share their collection of them.

I want an opinel!

Here’s a picture of my Opinel No9 and my Mercator K55 “Black Cat” knife.

TheOpie is about 10 years old or so, and has had most of the lettering wear off. The blade has also picked up a nice patina from being carried around in a sweaty pocket. It’s still sharpens up nicely and takes a wicked edge.

You need more then 1 Opinel, so while one dries up you can use another one 😀

Great food-knife. 🙂 It’s stainless steel and has the locking ring for safe handling. Got it dirt cheap at Opinel-USA dot com…

It’s a #7…mandarin orange. 🙂
