9mm with modern rounds your not going to see a drastic difference between the major 9,40,45. Shot placement is the key, most will benefit from the added rounds and reduced recoil.

Glock 19 gen 4 9mm for me loaded with Hornady 135gr +P flexlock critical duty ammo. Carry a spare 15rd mag in the pocekt and a 33rd ‘happy stick’ in the bag or jeep.

I’ve carried a .380 for a long time with a .357 snub as a more occasional choice but just need to get a little fire lit underneath me to go get a .45 acp XDS and make it my EDC; because that’s going to be my caliber of choice going forward.

    I carry either a Glock 23compensated or a Springfield XDS in 45.

I carry a Keltec PF9 9mm. I’ve standardized on caliber to save on having to buy a ton of rounds in 8 different caliber s

I really kick myself for selling my PF9. That gun was so light and easy to conceal/carry. I never had one issue with mine.

I’m doing the same consolidation, since I always seem to buy guns just when they are a great deal. I want to get down to 22, 9, 45, 223, 12 gauge, maybe 308

But I already have an LCP 380, and that’s silly to get rid of, or that 38 revolver that makes a good trunk gun, and some competitions want you to shoot 40 to score, and then a buddy sold me a 357sig at a good price, and that reminded me I missed my 357 mag revolver, and some of those new AR calibers are cool, and wouldn’t 300 BO be so easy to suppress, but while I’m at it a 485 or whatever it is SOCUM could be a blast…

I’m trying to pare down to 5 pistols and 5 long guns (not including sentimental guns).

Luckily I made the decision before I bought a bunch of guns. I have .22, 9mm, 12 gauge, and .223 that I stock a bunch of ammo for.

I have a 20 gauge over under that I use for trap/pheasant hunting but I only keep 2 cases of shells for that one.

Only other caliber I would ever get is a .357/.38 as my wife wants a revolver. Again wouldn’t stock a lot of ammo for that.

see how those other 2 calibers are sneaking up on you though? that’s what happens to me. I go through maybe 25 rounds of 380 and 5 rounds of 38 a year, but still have to keep and stock some.

I have sold my 357 sig, and 300 BO uppers, but still sitting on a pile of 40 ammo and no gun to shoot it. Another thing I’m liking is multiple parts work for more than one thing. an M&P mag will fit in a Pro, 4″, and compact, and most holsters will fit them all. Makes the piles of crap you take to the range easier to deal with.

    debate starts now!!!!
A .22 pistol, something like the Walther P22. Because it’s relatively small/compact, and it’s cheap, as well as ammo. Sure, I’d like something like the FN Hi-power, but that would become cumbersome to carry after a while.
