KeymasterI have to finish my AR first (need an upper), but I’d like to sneak in a Glock 29sf if I can fund it this year or the next.

KeymasterBefore I buy a new gun I first have to fix my Glock 29. Doing retention drills with a partner it was dropped and broke the rear sight so new sights are on order then I need to get the tools to do the work. After that I’m going to get a SR1911 for my wife then a Sig 220 Stainless Elite 10 mm for me. I would also like to get a 44 spl stubby and a stainless revolver in something smaller than my 454.

KeymasterI have two on my immediate list. A CZ P-09 will be first because of the lower cost and eventually a Lionheart LH9C.

I’m seriously debating picking up a M&P 9 Shield to replace my Bersa .380
I liked the Bersas I’ve shot before but not really a fan of 380s.Shield is a pretty solid gun.
Next up for me is either an M&P 9 or 45 or maybe a nice revolver. 🙂

I had 2 M&P 9’s full size. Sold both, wont buy another. I live in MA, so we are limited to what we can find easily. I wanted to like them. If you live in a free state, get something (anything) else if you can.And yes, one had a full trigger job. Ended up replacing it with a G17 and I’m not a huge Glock fan.

KeymasterProbably a CZ 75 or variant of same. I’ve been on a major handgun kick lately. Just got a Beretta 92 and some parts from Wilson Combat. The plan is to pick up a CZ and some parts from Cajun Gun Works…after it proves reliable.

KeymasterWhat issues did you have with the M&P’s? I’ll admit, I haven’t fired one yet. I was also looking at Glock 27’s, but I’m just not a fan. I’m 5’8″, 115lbs, so concealability is definitely an issue for me. And I’ve heard “You can conceal anything if you do it right” hundreds of times, but for me at least, it’s not really true. My Bersa is about perfect in that regard, I just wish it had more power.

The stock triggers are absolute garbage. A trigger job should help some, but replacing all of the parts is kind of necessary, IMHO. The PC trigger is where they get acceptable. Also, apparently my next is going to be a used G19gen3 with nice sights and some grip work. I’ll probably put in a nice trigger and have it milled for an RMR with suppressor sights and see which I like better between that and my M&P PC Ported Core set up basically the same way.

Keymastermoostapah… you commented on starting 3 gun… a suggestion…. figure out how you are going to reload the shotgun first… if your local club does not go prone with the shotgun, it is very difficult to beat someone using the load2/load4 technique (when you shoot Super Senior, loading out of trays is ok:) )… for tac optics division, most use their pistol competition rig, and then modularize the shot shell and rifle mag holders with something like the BladeTech teklok system….if you don’t regularly shoot USPSA pistol competition, start there first… Remington Outdoor Company just had an outstanding deal for USPSA members, offering select firearms at Remington employee pricing…
and it is addictive… good luck.. Les L747
